What do you want the viewer to focus on?

What do you want the viewer to focus on?

This shot is busy. There are lines going everywhere. There is a bit of grass right up the centre of the foreground. Nothing is straight. But it works - why? Because there is focus principally on the keyhole of the lock with the rest receding into the background because of the low depth of field.

Keep your eyes peeled when you're out walking. You'll find an image in the most mundane thing. This could also work for RustySunday and even Cableicous - using (without abusing) theme pages gets your work known. Usually the owner of the theme page will share your work increasing your audience.
