Don't be a moth as projection festivals become more popular around the world and buildings become brightly lit its easy to be a moth attracted to the bright light and only shooting that. It's much more effective if you include some foreground interest. The lit building is going to draw in the eye but when you see it, it's just meh. Adding some foreground interest helps to keep the eye occupied while it finds its way to the biggest bright bit.
This was shot at the Gertude Street Projection Festival which is one of the originals having been running formally since 2007 and even earlier than that informally. http://gspf.com.au/
